„Tamera is the mother cake for a new culture baking in the world with differentplaces such as the love school or the eros park having its own space. I seea nature park, a deeper connection between humans and nature that growsstronger, peace workers find a place to re-tank their battery, communities arebuild again, they are re-called by the land.“ says Sabine Lichtenfels during theLove School.Tamera is an eco-village in the South of Portugal. It is known for its holisticapproach to a peaceful way of living with nature and with each other as socialand sexual beings. The 200 inhabitants live without any religious or ideological duties but share acommon vision which embosses the spiritual character of Tamera. The wishfor a new earth full of respect and solidarity with all creatures, fellow humanbeings, plants and animals. This holistic approach is not only visible in theirdaily lives but also in the apprearance of the place: water retention plants, severalsmall lakes, research centers for solar energy and peace work, as well asnew ideas about the education of children and the association with animals.Sabine Lichtenfels and Dieter Duhm, the founders, encourage people to morehonesty in love, authenticity in relationships and transparency in community.Their seminars and workshops also inspire quite a few visitors who come tosee a functioning model for similar communities in their point of origin.
